Activities

Sarasota offers a lot of leisure time activities. One of the main attractions in Sarasota is the Ringling Estate. The Ringling Estate includes the winter residence of John and Mable Ringling called Cà d'Zan, two Circus Museums including the Tibbals Learning Center, and a Museum of Art featuring European Old Masters paintings.

Another highlight is the mote marine Aquarium founded 1955 that features a wide range of exhibits including a 135,000-gallon shark tank. Or the Sarasota jungle Gardens where you can see a lot of wildlife. No garden tour of Sarasota is complete without a visit to The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens with over 6 000 orchids. Or stroll around the streets of Down Town Sarasota or to the famous St. Armands Circle where you find over 130 restaurants and shops.


Golfcourses

The Tee Time has a very long tradition in Sarasota. The tradition began when John Hamilton Gillespie founded the first golf course in Sarasota and made Golf popular in the United States.
